1st Annual Eagle Festival Saturday, Sep 28, 2013, 10:00sm - 5:00pm Address: Dub Patton Area, Arkabutla Lake, 3905 Arkabutla Dam Rd Location: Hernando Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation, Inc., together with the DeSoto County Greenways and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold the 1st Annual Eagle Festival in the Dub Patton Area of Arkabutla Lake. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the construction of the Arkabutla Lake Wildlife Rehabilitation and Nature Center designed to educate current and future generations on the importance of the natural environment and the roll all living creatures play at sustaining natural resources. The day will include interactive activities for children of all ages, arts and craft vendors, live music and a children’s play area, plus informational booths about wildlife and natural resources and educational programs, which will include viewing live animals. This event is certain to become one Northwest Mississippi’s most popular annual events. Admission $5; school age children (18 & under) free.
