GOOD EATS IN THE DELTA

The Delta wants to feed you. It wants to feed you tamales and BBQ and pulled pork sandwiches and deep fried catfish and a giant cinnamon roll slathered with four times the necessary icing.

The Delta also wants to feed you re-imagined southern cooking, styled for modern day foodies and healthy eaters and diners who like stylish bistros.

The Delta wants you to sit on a covered porch with a giant plate of fried chicken or in an antebellum dining room eating scones with local honey. The Delta thinks you're hungry and that you're in the right place.

If you travel for food, you're in for the experience of your life. Feast your way through the region -- pick your own produce at a working farm or take a class at The Viking Cooking School in Greenwood. Chase the heat of Mississippi Delta tamales and follow that with sweet tea. Bring your appetite -- your culinary road trip awaits.
